Pier Park is an enormous shopping and entertainment facility in Panama City Beach set between Panama City Beach Pkwy (30A and Hwy 98) and Front Beach Road along the coast. There are numerous shops, restaurants and amusement rides, just where do you start? And what don’t you want to miss?
Pier Park itself is a large shopping center so if you’re into shopping, this is the place to be. But there is so much more than shopping. It’s a veritable smorgasbord of events, fun things to see and do and just a cool place to hang out. As an outdoor mall, it’s a perfect addition to Panama City Beach and both tourists and locals alike frequent the place. Whether you’re taking in a movie or getting that favorite outfit, you can do it all here.
The Grand 16 Theaters are located at Pier Park and provide locals and visitors alike a unique experience with IMAX and regular movies. There’s always something unique, unusual and expected playing at the Grand.
The Shopping is a nice break from the beach, if you need one! It can get crowded on the weekend at peak season but so can just about anywhere in a vacation town USA Peak Season. There’s all your favorites like Aeropostale, Dillards and Famous Footwear and some unique additions just for our mall like Charming Charlie, Flipflop Shop and Mirror Maze. With home décor, apparel, major department stores and gift shops, there’s a little something for everyone here.
If food is what you’re after, there’s plenty to choose from at Pier Park. You’ve got your snacks with Great American Cookie CO and Smoothie King plus burgers at Five Guys or delicious BBQ; how about sandwiches at Panera Break or Schlotzky’s Deli? Ready for a nice date out? Then enjoy a delicious evening at the Back Porch Seafood House or Longhorn Steakhouse. With more than 20 dining options, there must be something to fill your belly.
Then there’s the amusement park. This is a fun and unexpected activity at Pier Park. It’s perfect for adults and kids alike with quick thrills and fun rides. “I was on vacation with the family in PCB, and we decided to spend an evening at Pier Park. I normally avoid these kinds of places at all costs, because of the rickety rides and shady people. Much to my surprise, this did not have either! It is clear that they do not want to just get tourists in for a quick buck, but that they want you to have a good time so you come back the next time you are in the area.” [yelp]
With more than 10 rides including a coaster and drop tower, the Pier Park Amusement Park is the place to be on a warm summer afternoon in Panama City Beach Florida.
