There’s always something traditional going on in Panama City Beach for New Year’s Eve. As we say goodbye to 2017 and Ring in 2018, here are some of our favorite things to do on New Year’s Eve along the beach.
The New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop – this is one of the best and most well-known annual events happening after dark on December 31. There are two great opportunities to welcome in the new year on the streets of Pier Park. The entire street is closed to traffic and thousands of people enjoy live music, entertainment, and of course fireworks. There will actually be to buy drops one at 8:00 PM (for those of us that can’t stay up as late as we used to) and one at midnight. Bands perform late into the night and then a big glowing beach ball is lowered to signal the start of the new year.
New Year’s Eve party at the Tiki Bar at Sandpiper Beacon Beach resort – Time to party in the Tiki Bar until midnight with the spectacular firework show on the beach at midnight. There will be awesome life music, drink specials, the perfect beachside hot tub retreat and on-site deli to keep you fed all night long.
Holiday Inn Resort New Year’s Eve party – the Holiday Inn rules out the red carpet this year for a three-course celebration dinner, which is an exclusive event for guests of the Holiday Inn only. Enjoy butternut squash ravioli, baked brie, and other incredible tasty treats.
New Year’s Eve at the Boardwalk Beach Resort – watch the ball drop from the nearby Boardwalk Resort and the Spinnaker Beach Club, one of the best locations to view it all. There will be free cocktails are on-site bar the Anchor and late-night check out on New Year’s Day.
New Year’s Eve at Schooners – role in the new year on the beach with live music, the fireworks show and a champagne toast at midnight with delicious appetizers including a loco shrimp, smoked tuna dip, seared crab cakes and tuna medallions.
New Year’s Eve Bash at the Splash Bar Florida and Island 106 – this two-day event both Saturday and Sunday feature special guest by Nadya Simone, Blair St. Clair along with other casts of China Moon. There will be DJs, champagne toasts, a meet and greet, plus many more unique adventures at the Splash Bar at 6520 Thomas Dr.
Club LaVela’s New Year’s Eve – – for just $50 from 8:00 PM until 4:00 AM at Club LaVela is one of the biggest parties in the area. There will be balloons filled with thousands of dollars in cash and prizes at midnight, DJs, live rock with Bedlam in the Rock Arena, karaoke contests, and much, much more. The presale package includes your cover charge and a wristband that’s good for unlimited premium drinks from 8:00 PM until 11:00 PM. Don’t miss this one.
