If you’re looking for something a little unique and not so touristy, the zoo is definitely something you should check out. It’s perfect for people of all ages and because it’s so affordable and they offer annual passes as well which are perfect for those that live around the Panama City Beach. Adults are just $16 with seniors, 65 and over at $12 and children 4 to 11 at $10 with children under three being free. Annual passes for adults are $50, children ages 4 to 11 are $40 and again, children three and under are free. There’s also discounts for military and Bay County residents at 10% off on their daily admissions. Unfortunately, these discounts don’t work with annual passes. The annual passes or season passes are perfect for those that live in the area or visit Panama City Beach often.

Unusual Things to Do in Panama City BeachThe zoo is split up into several different presentations and displays and there are events and festivals throughout the year.

Parrots and Pals – This event happens daily at 11:00 AM and at 3:00 PM. This tropical and Safari adventure travels around the world with amazing animals offering answers to your questions, information, and a unique show, not just focused on birds but lots of different animals in a tropical or Safari habitat.

The Wolf Presentation is definitely a must see if you visit ZooWorld. ZooWorld is home to one British Columbian wolf and one gray wolf. These wolves have been hand raised and during the unique presentation you’ll learn some interesting facts about them and how they interact with the zookeepers. If you love wolves this is certainly a presentation not to mess.

It wouldn’t be Florida if we didn’t have our own alligator exhibit. Unfortunately, through 2014 the gator exhibit is down but in 2015 the presentation will resume with amazing artifacts, displays, information and role-playing and how important American alligators are to our ecosystem.

“Going Wild” and “Parrots in Paradise” are two displays that are currently closed but will resume in 2015. Currently, these two displays are combined with Parrots and Pals.

Not only does ZooWorld have ongoing and year-round presentations and exhibits but they also have seasonal festivals and special events. During the Halloween season they have ZooBoo, which features a costume contest and unique events.

In the summertime they have the Safari zoo camp and hand’s on events like Keeper for a Day offering an adventure of a lifetime. ZooBilee happens in September and offers discounted tickets, photos with animals and raffles.
