Pack some board games and movies for night time activities. This is a great idea for those traveling with young children as let’s face it they get tired at night and start to get cranky. Enjoy a free concert at Pier Park on a Thursday night. Pier Park has a free summer concert series in the park amphitheater just bring some drinks, snacks and a blanket or chairs and grab your spot in the grass.
Spend a day walking around the Pier Park Shopping complex. Enjoy searching through hundreds of shops to find that one of a kind souvenir or take in a matinee movie at the movie theater. Enjoy and fill up on a buffet in one of the restaurants. Have a friendly family competition to see who can come back with the tackiest souvenir under a dollar.
Frank Brown Park has an impressive playground the kids will love. There is also an aquatic center that charges $5 dollar for children 0-14 and $8 for 14 +. There are discount admissions available to seniors and military with identification.
Stay in a resort with included activities there are a few great resorts in Panama City Beach that offer pools with waterslides, private beach access, mini golf, and other activities without ever having to leave the resort so there is no need to rent a car.
Watch the fishing boats come in with their daily catch at Captain Anderson Marina and Treasure Ship Marina around four and five every day.
