Conservation Park in Panama City Beach

Conservation Park is located in the northern area of Panama City Beach at 100 Conservation Park in Panama City BeachConservation Dr. The city of Panama City Beach established the park in cooperation with the Florida Department of environmental protection for bikers, nature lovers, walkers and hikers. With over 2900 acres of wetlands, uplands, and over 24 miles of trail, there’s plenty to do, see and enjoy a conservation Park. The 2900 acres of West Bay ecosystem is protected by the management and utilization of the city’s reclaimed water to rehydrate the wetlands.  There are 14 discharge structure strategically placed around the park to help distribute and rehydrate the wetlands on site.

At the southeast corner of the park is the 4400 ft.² building which features shelter for park users, garbage disposal, public restrooms and drinking water and this building also provides useful space for city staff and equipment needed to keep the park maintained. There are several trails on-site perfect for observing native wildlife, birds, and native foliage. Trails range anywhere from .6 miles up to 11 miles with 12 different terrains to choose from.

Conservation Park is open from 8 AM until dusk and is a great way to see nature, get close to native wildlife, exercise along some of the many trails or simply have a family picnic at one of the many picnic tables and shelter areas.

Off of Panama City Beach Parkway. Turn right or north on Griffin Boulevard and head into the park. There are numerous parking facilities and lots of trailheads to get started.
