Ring in the new year at 2017 in Panama City Beach Florida with these great events.
We always have the New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop and it is become a tradition around here. This family-friendly celebration happens on December 31 and the streets of Pier Park are closed off to all traffic. There is an 8:00 PM countdown with over 10,000 inflated beach balls that are dropped from nets stretched over the city. The event is followed by fireworks and there are bands performing, entertainment and thousands of people will enjoy the live entertainment, food, and festivities.

At 5:30 PM, live music by Barry Fish Band kick off the evening. The kids beach ball drop starts at 8:00 PM with over 10,000 beach balls dropping into the streets. At 8:15 PM live music will begin with Terry Brock & Friends and then at 10:00 PM is the Rivertown band. At midnight, enjoy the traditional Beach Ball Drop from the brand-new celebration tower.

Lots of local restaurants and resorts will be celebrating in their own way such as Schooners, rocking in the new year with live music right on the beach as well as a firework show and a champagne toast at midnight. Schooners will also offer a four-course dinner party.

At the Spinnaker Beach Club, partiers will ring in the new years with live music, complimentary champagne, dancing and more.

The Sandpiper Beacon is a great place for family and friends. Sit back, relax, and enjoy unwinding at the Tiki bar if you prefer not to fight the crowds at the Pier Park beach ball drop. There’s live music, champagne toast at midnight and of course, you’re right on the beach overlooking the beautiful water.

The Boardwalk Beach Resort has a full bar, New Year’s Eve day breakfast buffet from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM and a late checkout. There will be a New Year’s Eve party and cocktails for two Rusty Anchor Bar & Grill.
