A good place to start is by contacting the tackle shops located at both of our local piers. They get regular reports from the folks who are out fishing on the pier all day. Just ask what species are biting and either walk out on the pier and join in, or get the tackle and lures you need and set up a simple surf fishing operation where you are staying on the beach.
