It is certainly that time of year when we start to put up the Christmas tree, string the lights and prepare for the holidays. There’s no better place to do that then at this year’s Festival of Trees and benefiting Bethel Village.
This Bay County Christmas tradition gives families of fun and festive event to share plus some great ideas and inspiration for decorating your own Christmas tree.
This year’s event is at the Marina Civic Center beginning on Tuesday, December 2 and running through Friday, December 5. Times are from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM on Tuesday, December 2 starting with lunch with Santa. Then, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM is the preview party with live music by local band Latitude 29th and delicious and tasty hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $25 for this preview party.
On Wednesday, December 3 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM is the morning mother’s day out. This is a new event where you can drop your kids off at school or day care and enjoy coffee and refreshments while you browse and bid on the trees. This event is free. Starting at noon until 2:00 PM there’s a luncheon which is also free. This annual get-together is perfect for you and your friends to hear inspiring testimonies of the ladies at Bethel Village. Make sure you get reservations if you plan on having a large group.
On Thursday, December 4 is another mother’s morning out event with a 5-8 PM family night. The admission is free but there are items to buy such as paint your own artwork at $40 per canvas or $10 per car entered at the pinewood derby race. This is perfect for the entire family.
On Friday, December 5 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM, just $5 admission gets you in to view and bid on these fantastic trees. Perhaps you’re just here to get inspiration or you’re looking at buying a tree for your living room; what ever the case, bidding closes at 8:00 PM and away go these beautifully decorated trees.
