St. Andrews Main Parade

Coming up February 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM is the 18th annual Krewe of St. Andrew’s main parade. This year’s theme is Mardi Gras under the sea. The assembled will start at the Oakland Terrace recreation center and depart staging area is at fountain and 11th St. in St. Andrews. The parade will travel west on 11th St., Québec Avenue and North on Beck Avenue to 15th St.

This parade began in 1997 when Bay County’s first Mardi Gras Krewe approach the community of St. Andrews with the idea of relocating its annual parade from Bay point the citizens of St. Andrews soon formed their own Krewe and it now has over 180 members all over Bay County. Their focus has always been on community and family and this is reflected in family-oriented activities such as the kid and a pet parades, kickball, golf tournaments, draw town bunco and much more. This festival and parade is designed to attract people and families of all ages and lifestyles.

The Krewe of St. Andrews gives back to the community by donating over $50,000 to many charities such as the Sunrise Community, Habitat for Humanity, the Boys and Girls Club, the Haney Technical Center and the Florida State University of Panama City.

This Mardi Gras parade is sure to please and inspire so come dressed in your favorite New Orleans garb, bring your beads, and enjoy a fun filled event in St. Andrews on February 7 at 2:00 PM.
